Bank of Singapore has appointed Rickie Chan (陳偉名) as the head of private banking, Greater China, Hong Kong branch. He is replacing Teresa Lee (李凱琳), who will take on the new role of vice-chair of Greater China. Both appointments will take effect from February 15 2024.
Chan will be a member of the bank’s management committee, reporting to chief executive officer Jason Moo (巫毅盛). Lee will report to Moo functionally.
In her new role, Lee will work closely with Chan in the development of strategies to grow Bank of Singapore’s franchise in the Greater China region, particularly in deepening relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
Chan has over 26 years of experience in private banking, wealth management and capital markets. He joins Bank of Singapore from Credit Suisse where he was most recently the chief executive of the Hong Kong branch and the head of global wealth management, Greater China. He had also previously held several senior leadership roles in Barclays Bank and Goldman Sachs private bank in Hong Kong.
Chan graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor of arts in economics.
