Singapore fintech fest to focus on transformation
SFF 2024 to highlight AI, quantum tech, infrastructure, inclusion, green finance, ESG
Tom King 4 Nov 2024

The upcoming ninth edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) between November 6 to 8 will focus on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technology in reshaping the financial landscape.

As well, the now global event – co-organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Global Finance and Technology Network and trade show organizer Constellar – will spotlight innovations in sustainable finance, decarbonization, digital asset scaling, cross-border payment efficiencies, and financial inclusion.

The festival begins with an insights forum from November 4 to 5, featuring discussions on the future of financial infrastructure and the Green Circle Climate Forum.

The latter will gather corporate leaders, non-governmental organizations and financiers to address challenges in high-quality carbon markets, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes.

SFF 2024 will feature over 900 speakers across more than 400 sessions, and the event’s exhibition will include over 600 exhibitors and 41 international pavilions, including a dedicated ESG zone where attendees can learn about sustainable finance solutions. The Asset is also a media partner for the event.

New executive education programmes will also offer insights on AI, digital assets and sustainability, reinforcing, the SFF says, its “commitment to equipping leaders with the tools needed for a greener financial future”.

The Innovation Lab Crawl, held from November 4 to 5, will offer attendees the opportunity to witness up-and-coming projects and innovations in the fintech sector across 16 participating organizations, including the Visa Innovation Centre, Bank Julius Baer Launchpad and the NUS Fintech Lab.

“Architecting the next transformation for our digital future requires thoughtful planning, strong partnerships and sustained investments,” adds Sopnendu Mohanty, the MAS’s chief fintech officer. “As we navigate the transformative potential of emerging technologies, SFF 2024 will serve as a crucial platform for uniting innovators, industry leaders and policymakers to shape a resilient, inclusive digital economy that serves the greater good.”
