UK-based Aberdeen Investments has appointed Pruksa Iamthongthong as the head of equities for Asia-Pacific, a role in which she will succeed Flavia Cheong, who will retire in December after a 30-year career with the firm.
Iamthongthong, currently deputy head of Asia-Pacific equities, brings nearly 20 years of experience with Aberdeen. She has been instrumental, the company notes, in leading flagship strategies and driving research innovation on the Asia-Pacific equities team.
Devan Kaloo, the company’s global head of equities, says: “Iamthongthong combines a strong performance track record with deep client engagement and a passion for continuous improvement. She has long been a key face of the franchise and is well-positioned to lead the team into its next chapter.”
Ian Macdonald, the company’s CEO for Asia-Pacific, adds: “Asia’s growth story continues to unfold, and we remain as excited about the opportunities ahead.”
