Two former Temasek executives have launched Clover Point Consultants ( CPC ), an independent board advisory and strategic consulting firm, to support growing companies’ needs in bridging the gap between corporate strategy and market expectations.
Co-founded by Lee Ooi Keong and Karen Yap, CPC supports public-listed and private companies, including family offices and start-ups, in unlocking their full market potential amid today’s challenging business landscape, according to a company statement.

Recent studies reveal that only 56% of Singapore-listed companies are profitable, with only 12% meeting institutional investors' criteria for investability. “These figures highlight a critical gap in strategic guidance – a gap CPC was founded to address, by equipping companies with the tools needed to improve market performance and shareholder value,” Lee says.
According to CPC, the majority of Singapore-listed companies struggle to maintain their market and share price performance because of a lack of understanding of what buyside institutional investors look for when investing in public companies.
The company offers tailored solutions across three domains: performance and growth strategies and transaction advisory; board governance and strategic risk management; and crisis management, financial communications and corporate brand reputation.
It is also partnering with leading industry experts to deliver strategic solutions for corporate actions.
Lee has over three decades of experience as a corporate leader and board director, including the last 16 years as a director of risk management in Temasek, heading the enterprise, strategic portfolio and investment risk teams.
Yap brings two decades in stakeholder management, specializing in crisis management, with a track record of working with Temasek and global marketing communications agencies leading corporate, financial communications and crisis communications practices. She is an accredited board director and part of the Singapore Red Cross Fundraising Committee.
"Our combined experience across multiple domains enables us to deliver holistic, pragmatic solutions that empower our clients to thrive in today’s financial markets. Our approach combines rigorous analysis with creative thinking, delivering solutions that are both innovative and practical,” Lee says.
